EXPERIENCE

Michael is an associate with D. G. Biddle and Associates Limited and has been working full time for the firm since graduating from McMaster University in 1997. Michael also worked for the firm while earning his Bachelor of Engineering degree from 1994 to 1997. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and holds the designation of Consulting Engineer. Throughout his 22 years of experience he has worked in many facets including construction inspector, CAD operator, engineering designer and Project Manager. Michael is proficient in stormwater and sanitary drainage as well as hydrology and hydraulics including computer software programs Visual Otthymo, Ottswwm and Hec-Ras. He has experience in new stormwater management techniques including permeable pavers, bio-retention swales and other Low Impact Development (LID) technologies.

Over the past 10 years he has assumed the responsibility of Project Manager. He has built an excellent working rapport with both clientele and regional and municipal approval agency staff. Having excellent time management skills and has learned to balance project coordination while still completing hands-on engineering design.

SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER- Michael is responsible for overseeing and preparing the design of underground services and roadworks for both small and large scale municipal and private developments. He has extensive experience in all aspects of municipal design including:

• Site plan development
• Site servicing & lot grading
• Residential / industrial subdivisions
• Erosion and sediment control
• Stormwater management in accordance with M.O.E. Design Criteria
• Flood hydrology and hydraulics
• Environmental traffic noise abatement measures
• On-Site private fire fighting reservoir design
• Low Impact Development (LID)
